Peak weekends, long holidays, ferry capacity and island events are treated as price movers so plans show when booking early matters.

How much does an Andaman trip cost from India?
A 5-night Andaman honeymoon from India typically costs ₹45,000–₹1,20,000 per couple including flights from Chennai/Bangalore, ferries, hotels, transfers and scuba. Our /cost-index page publishes itemised 2026 rates so you can check any quote against published prices.
What is the best month to visit the Andaman Islands?
November to mid-May is the popular season with calm seas and reliable ferries. December and January are busiest and priciest. For lower prices and good visibility, November, February and March are the sweet spots. June–September is monsoon — ferries often run but scuba visibility drops.
Do Indians need a passport for the Andaman Islands?
No passport is required for Indian citizens to visit the Andaman Islands — a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, driving licence or passport) is sufficient. Some islands require a Restricted Area Permit (Ross Island and tribal reserves), which our team arranges free of charge.
How do I get from Port Blair to Havelock Island?
By Makruzz, Nautika or Green Ocean catamaran from Port Blair's Haddo Jetty to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep). The crossing takes 60–90 minutes and ferries run 3–4 times a day in season. Government ferries (₹500–₹800) and private ferries (₹1,100–₹1,950) both exist — we book the one that fits your flight time.
Can I do scuba diving in Andaman if I cannot swim?
Yes. Beginner Discover Scuba dives and Sea Walks at Havelock (Nemo Reef, Elephant Beach) and North Bay are run by PADI and SSI instructors and are designed for non-swimmers. A 15-minute skills briefing in shallow water precedes the actual reef dive, and you stay attached to your instructor the whole time.
How many days do you need for an Andaman trip?
4 nights / 5 days covers Port Blair + Havelock comfortably. 5 nights / 6 days adds Neil Island. 6–7 nights allows North Andaman (Baratang, Diglipur) or a relaxed honeymoon pace. Anything shorter than 4 nights forces you to skip either the ferries, the dives or the beaches.
